Why are we recyling?

Recycling

You may be wondering…why are we making such a big effort to recycle? As I said before, on earth we are running out of natural resources. You may not be aware, but we waste so many materials everyday.

Over 55 million newspapers are sold every day. Think about how many people who buy the newspapers actually recycle them. There is also a group in those buyers who don’t even throw out the newspapers.  These people littler them instead. From one tree, you can only make 8,333 pieces of paper. We are constantly cutting down tress without replanting them. One day, we will run out of trees. I know it may seem far off, but later you will be very sorry for not recycling.

This is only and example of one resource. There are so many other resources we ae constantly wasting such as aluminum, plastic, glass and many others. There are some habits that we may all have, but you may not realize the effect it is having on the rest of the world. I’m sure many of you are too lazy at times to recycle your water bottle or make the effort to recycle your pizza box. As I have said many times, today it may not seem like a big deal, but in the future it will be. So, PLEASE RECYCLE!

If you want to find out more about recycling, you can go to  www.epa.gov/recyclecity/ for more information.
